Grist tours2

We have Heritage Interpreters available to guide and inform you about the site’s many wonders.

All of our hands-on learning experiences allow students to learn by doing. Using curriculum-inspired content, students participate in various activities in order to come to a greater understanding of relevant concepts. Students will also practice communicating their experiences and observations, through interaction with our leaders, teachers, and peers. We hope they gain understanding through observation and play, drawing their own conclusions through the exploration process.

What Our Visitors Are Saying

Here's why our guests love about our tours.

"Great little place we found by accident. Educational and even had my 7 and 8 year old kids asking questions and interested. Bought several items from the gift shop and look forward to tasting everything. Definitely recommend."

"Really lovely grounds and extremely knowledgeable staff make this a very cool stop! A working mill of this type and vintage is very difficult to find. The leader of the mill restoration is on site to explain every detail of this historical treasure and beyond. The site also has a small museum with more self guided exhibits to put you in mind of the life and times of those who built it and operated it. Take a trip to the pioneering times of the 1880s in BC."

"Just had a delicious long table, farm to table meal at the mill. Wonderful food, great value, fun experience meeting new people. Warm staff and lovely grounds. Don’t miss your last chances this year to eat and make new friends. I think there are just three dates and menus left."
