About

The Tea Room at the Grist Mill

Come enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and garden views from our Tea Room while savoring one of our delicious buttery scones paired with local jam and fresh lemonade. Or sit outside along the cool Keremeos Creek with fresh baked cookies and old-fashioned steeped iced tea. We also offer premium teas, coffee and delicious home-baked goodies.., just like Grandma’s kitchen. And yes, we love to cater events, too!

Come and visit us for a light, seasonal lunch featuring homemade soups carefully crafted from scratch, delicious picnic baskets, wholesome baking and thirst quenching beverages, all of which are handcrafted by our talented staff, to feature the finest seasonal ingredients found in our beautiful valley either from our own garden or from our neighbours’.

Our kitchen is open Thursday to Monday in peak season.

Let us cook for you!
The only thing we love more than hosting visitors and events is cooking delicious food; as an heritage site with a keen interest in agriculture and forgotten food skills, we’re always experimenting in our kitchen, trying old recipes and playing with unusual ingredients from the many skilled farmers and orchardists here in the spectacular Similkameen Valley. Inspiration is everywhere: it can be found in our neighbours’ fields, farmsteads and root cellars as well as in the margin notes of many vintage family cookbooks.

Unlike many of the bigger catering companies, we have no set menus because every meal we make is unique, depending on what’s available and in season as well as your own preferences and budget. We don’t provide plated service or “tweezer food”, but we will fill you and your guests up on quality rustic food reflecting the character of both this spectacular property as well as the breathtaking valley we live in.
