Concert: 0Stella (Apple House Session)
We’re excited to be bringing back evenings filled with some exceptional classical, traditional, folk, roots, world music, and acoustic blues talents as we welcome performers in the heritage gardens near our 1877 waterwheel-powered flour mill. We’re only a half hour drive from Penticton, OK Falls, Oliver or Osoyoos–come visit one of the most charming concert venues in the South Okanagan and Similkameen!
Join us for our next concert of 2023, featuring the talented 0Stella. This show is the second of our new Apple House Sessions, small, intimate shows in our cozy early 1900s root cellar; seating is provided, but cushions and blankets are welcome. Tickets ($15) will be available online starting April 18th or in person at the door on the evening of the show. Doors open at 6:30PM, show starts at 7PM.
ARTIST INFO
0Stella [oh-Stella] is the solo project of Edmonton-based, Irish-Canadian artist Liz Pomeroy. Ruthlessly authentic alt-rock blends with traditional Irish fiddle and bodhrán to create catchy pop melodies with oft-politically charged lyrics drenched in irony and rebelliousness. Whether singing in her native Irish language or English, 0Stella is reminiscent of Garbage, Paramore, PJ Harvey and The Frames.
The zero-waste advocate (hence the zero in her name) is currently on a Canada-wide solo cycling album tour in support of her upcoming record Pendulum State, to be released in 2023 on Dead Doll Records.
Features from X92.9 FM, CBC, Beatroute, the Calgary Herald and Edmonton Journal have helped establish the Dublin-born 0Stella on the Canadian music scene.
